UK plug-in solar · fictional supplier sample · 2 August 2026

An EU datasheet is not a UK sale decision.

A fixed-scope evidence pre-screen for EU manufacturers, import advisers and UK channel teams: map one product line against the captured UK interim product specification, preserve missing model evidence, route laboratory questions and keep commencement and retailer acceptance explicit.

Timing updated 5 August 2026: S.I. 2026/848 was made on 16 July 2026 and comes into force on 27 August 2026. Its definition caps maximum rated AC output at 800 W and references the final IPS. HelioFold 800 is fictional/composite; this page still assesses 0 real SKUs, reviews 0 model-specific lab reports and issues 0 certifications. A statutory date does not prove that a product meets the IPS or that a retailer will accept it.

One ledger, three handoffs.

The deliverable is designed to make the next qualified review faster—not to replace it.

Official / dated

Requirement source freeze

Capture the final IPS, government response, safety-study page and relevant channel context with dates, URLs and hashes.

Supplier / missing

Model evidence gap card

Separate supplier claims, underlying documents, absent fields and questions that cannot be answered from a generic EU datasheet.

Qualified gate

Lab, standards and channel route

Route technical testing, commencement interpretation and retailer onboarding to the appropriate qualified owner before any sale claim.

From source to a bounded decision.

01 · Freeze
Record source URL, publication state, capture date and hash.
02 · Map
Link each review field to supplier evidence or explicit missingness.
03 · Route
Assign lab, standards, legal and retailer questions without answering beyond scope.
04 · Hold
The effective date is established; do not state UK saleability until model evidence and formal determinations are complete.

“Hold” is an evidence-routing state, not a product failure verdict. The downloadable CSV preserves all 12 rows.

Buyer handoff checklist

Safe supplier input

  • One model identifier and product-line scope.
  • Public datasheet and public installation/user manual.
  • Public certificate claims plus underlying report availability status.
  • UK plug, inverter, export-control, mounting and label evidence.
  • Named supplier owner for unanswered fields—no credentials or private customer data.

Acceptance before any launch claim

  • Official requirements and effective status are date-stamped.
  • Supplier claims are not presented as independent verification.
  • Lab-required fields have an identified qualified owner.
  • Consumer instructions and labels have UK-specific review status.
  • Retailer onboarding is separated from formal product requirements.

A fixed-scope paid continuation

£295 UK Plug-in Solar Supplier Evidence Pre-screen
One supplier, one product line/named variant, up to 10 public or redacted source items, one source freeze, one 17-field response-state ledger and one written handoff for lab, standards, network and channel questions. Target delivery: five business days after written scope acceptance, a complete safe evidence pack and cleared payment.
Promote gate

Three qualified manufacturers, import advisers or UK channel teams request model-specific matrices, or one £295 pre-screen is purchased after approved distribution.

Backlog / kill gate

Useful output requires engineering sign-off in the first step, equivalent pre-screening is already free, or ten approved high-specificity touches produce no qualified conversation.

Boundary: public-source and supplier-document readiness only. Not electrical engineering, product certification, legal advice, installation advice, retailer approval or a statement that any product can be sold, connected, installed or used in the UK. Formal determinations remain with qualified laboratories, standards professionals, advisers and relevant authorities. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the UK government, any retailer or Renewable Energy Institute.

Captured sources: S.I. 2026/848 and the GOV.UK consultation/final IPS returned HTTP 200 when recaptured on 5 August 2026. Earlier safety-study, retailer-roundtable and EU-context captures remain context only. See the new statutory timing snapshot and the original source snapshot for hashes and bounded interpretations.
